Wedding DJ Clients, Chris and Julez had this to say...Originally I was in contact with a DJ company in the city, but the communication was so impersonal, and even after messaging back and forth going through all our details, they still wanted me to fill out a bunch of forms with the same information we already talked about, and they had a bunch of agreement stuff that was just such a hassle. I felt like I was booking some random "DJ" to press play on a generic playlist. Not to mention that the company only allowed English song requests, which was a red flag for me. So a month before the wedding, not feeling good about our current DJ, I messaged Maribeth on insta, and they easily became the best, smoothest, and most hassle free part of planning and executing my wedding. They are very well organized, professional, and considerate while still being casual and human. We planned our wedding from a timezone 7 hours ahead of Winnipeg time, and they even accommodated our busy schedule to meet up online! Maribeth organized all our lighting and sound equipment needs so we didn't have to deal with it, too. On the day of the wedding, they were fully prepared and had great music for the dinner and kept everyone happy and dancing in the evening. From someone who has booked and worked with many DJs in Winnipeg as well as around the world, Maribeth Tabanera is an easy pick if you want to work with someone who not only has mixing skills and good taste in music, but is also organized, professional, and empathetic. Thanks, Maribeth!

Drag King, Lex Contralata had this to say...""Maribeth is a creative, passionate and supportive teacher/choreographer, I was so lucky to get to work with them! They helped me create an unforgettable performance and my voguing improved tremendously. Maribeth was able to create choreography that was challenging, but still within my skill level and it looked fantastic! Maribeth is amazing at what they do and was fantastic to work with!"

Dance Teacher, Stephanie O. had this to say...""Maribeth is a passionate dancer and a great resource. They have a plethora of knowledge on all styles of street dance. Through oral and physical teaching, they are able to convey the history of dance styles to youth thus honouring and keeping dance alive in our community. They understand their audience and knows how to interact and inspire her dancers. We had the pleasure of hosting them in our studio for a series of workshops. Dancers left inspired and reenergized from the energy that was shared by an amazing dancer in our community!"

With a fun, energizing warm up they break down the essence of the moves and reinforces them in their original choreography. We are so fortunate to have Maribeth here in Winnipeg, sharing their innovative talent in the world of dance."

Dance enthusiast, George T. had this to say...""The person in the red jacket [Maribeth Tabanera as the Waacking Lady in the Artist Within] seemed to be in a rich private trance of dance expression that involved every area of their being. As a dancer....a more complete integration of body and soul could scarcely be imagined. They amazed and excited me as a performer. They ARE the music while they're dancing. possessed by it, in the best kind of way."
